Photogram Project

Wilderness Scene
For this photogram production, I incorporated a contrast between the light of materials to the dark background, the implied movement of pieces, and the proportion of size distinctions for certain elements to communicate a theme of "self," specifically, in regard to the great joy, awe, and curiosity I experience towards the unique, exciting natural environment. This specific artwork utilized the materials of paperclips, a coin, sticker motifs, paper designs, an embroidered piece, and a brush.

Wilderness Scene with Color
For this production, I utilized various improvement techniques on photoshop to enhance elements of imagery in the initial black and white photogram of Wilderness Scene. More specifically, I utilized a background filter change, the insertion of color lines, white dot formations, eraser segments, and shifts within the opacity setting to enhance the contrast between elements of vividity towards the black background and white elements of this piece.

Directions in Chaos
For this photogram artwork, I inserted emphasis upon the circular structure of the center arrow through a contrast in lighting distinctions for darker pieces, the implied movement of directional motifs, and the proportion of size differences for certain elements to communicate a theme of "self." In this piece, I intended this element to concern a personal belief that continued resolve to strong convictions may function as assistance and directions against general confusion. This specific photogram utilized the materials of paperclips, toothpicks, sticker motifs, paper designs, an embroidered piece, and a metal mesh.

That Which is Unfamiliar
For this photogram artwork, I incorporated emphasis upon the light central circle by the contrast between the relative darkness of other materials with the background, the implied movement of pieces that represent living butterflies, and the proportion of size distinctions for certain elements to communicate a theme of "self," specifically, that regards the realistic tendencies of persons to react unecessarily to strange or unfamiliar components of the environment, without concern for beauty or possible assistance. This specific artwork utilized the materials of a hand motif, a coin, sticker designs, paper, an embroidered piece, and a brush.
